Introduction:

The Kuok Foundation is a non-profit charitable institution set up by the Kuok family in 1970 to alleviate poverty and to reduce the economic disparities between the rich and poor communities in Malaysia, based on the family’s strong belief in social responsibility to share its wealth and good fortune with the less fortunate.

The scholarship awards are offered for course undertaken at undergraduate and Diploma/Certificate level of education. Awards for undergraduate studies are in 3 categories – for Bachelor degree at public universities; selected private universities and colleges, and Singapore public universities. Those of local and Singapore public universities are open for application now.

Scholarships for Malaysian Public Universities

Kuok Keng Kang Scholarships
Value of Award: RM15,000 p.a.

Goh Ing Sing Agriculture Science Scholarships at Universiti Putra Malaysia
Value of Award: RM15,000 p.a.

Kuok Khoon Hong Scholarships/ Wilmar Scholarships
Value of Award: RM15,000 p.a.

Kuok Foundation Loan-Grant Awards
Value of Award: RM12,000 p.a. for Arts courses; RM13,000 p.a. for Science courses & RM14,000 p.a.for Medicine/Dentistry/Veterinary Medicine.

Eligibility: Malaysian needy students with good academic achievements, co-curriculum records and communication skills pursuing undergraduate courses at local public universities.

Scholarships for Singapore Public Universities

Kuok Foundation Scholarships
Value of Award: RM85,000 p.a.
Eligibility: Very needy and outstanding freshman Malaysian students who are in receipt of Singapore Ministry of Education tuition fee grant.

Wilmar Scholarships
Value of Award: RM27,000 p.a.
Eligibility: Needy Malaysian students with good academic achievements, co-curriculum records and communication skills planning to pursue or are pursuing undergraduate courses at Singapore universities.

Kuok Foundation Half Loan- Half Grant Awards
Value of Award: RM27,000 p.a.

Eligibility: Needy Malaysian students with good academic achievements, co-curriculum records and communication skills planning to pursue or are pursuing undergraduate courses at Singapore universities.
