  • Khazanah Global Scholarship

The Khazanah Global Scholarship offers opportunities for bright and high-achieving Malaysians to pursue Undergraduate and Postgraduate studies at selected leading universities around the world. It also includes leadership training and job attachments at leading organisations in Malaysia where recipients will be groomed to become Malaysia’s future business and industry leaders.

Eligibility:

Open to all Malaysians who possess strong leadership skills and active participation in extra-curricular, social or voluntary activities, with consistent and outstanding academic achievement and meet the following requirements:

For Foundation Studies:

  • A minimum of 8 A’s (combination of A and A+) in SPM, A or A+ in Bahasa Melayu, English, History & Mathematics, or 8 A’s in IGCSE;
  • Not exceeding 18 years old on enrolment date for the foundation studies.

For Undergraduate Studies:

  • A minimum 3 A’s for STPM or A-level or CGPA 3.50/4.00 for Pre-university/Diploma/Foundation/Matriculation programme or 38 points for International Baccalaureate (IB); or minimum 90.0 in Australian Matriculation (AUSMAT) or South Australian Matriculation;
  • A minimum of Second Class Upper Division (UK & Australia University) or CGPA of 3.50/4.00 for Bachelor’s Degree if currently in first year of Bachelor’s Degree at Yayasan Khazanah’s approved universities;
  • Not exceeding 21 years old on enrolment date for the Degree programme.

For Master’s Degree:

  • A minimum of Second Class Upper Division (UK and Australia University) or CGPA of 3.50 for Bachelor’s Degree;
  • Gained admission to pursue studies at renowned universities (Conditional offer can be considered);
  • Not exceeding 40 years old on enrolment date for the Master’s programme;
  • To provide research outline/ thesis summary (Research or mixed mode).

For Ph.D:

  • A distinction or ‘A’ grade average or equivalent for Master’s Degree;
  • Gained admission or currently pursuing studies at renowned universities (Conditional offer can be considered);
  • Not exceeding 40 years old on enrolment date for the Doctorate programme;
  • To provide research outline / thesis summary.

 

  • Khazanah – Cambridge Scholarship

The Khazanah-Cambridge Scholarship, established in 2009, provides financial sponsorship to Malaysians who plan to study or are studying for an undergraduate and postgraduate degree at the University of Cambridge. It is jointly sponsored by Yayasan Khazanah and the Cambridge Commonwealth, European and International Trust (CCEIT).

It is a leadership development programme aiming at building Malaysia’s future leadership talent. Recipients are expected to demonstrate academic excellence, as well as to develop their leadership skills through training and participation in a number of activities. They will be groomed to eventually lead Malaysia’s government-linked companies (GLCs).

Eligibility:

Malaysians who have a conditional or unconditional offer for admission into or currently pursuing full-time studies at the University of Cambridge and meet the requirements below:

Undergraduate Studies:

  • Not exceeding 21 years old on enrolment date for the degree programme;
  • An excellent academic track record, with a minimum of 3 A’s, or show evidence of excellent performance throughout the pre-university studies.

Postgraduate Studies:

  • Below 40 years old;
  • A First Class or a Second Class Upper honours degree, or a minimum CGPA of 3.50, or its equivalent. An excellent report for the thesis for those applying for a doctoral degree with a research Master’s degree;
  • Gained admission or currently pursuing research leading to the PhD degree; or one-year postgraduate courses ( e.g. MPhil, LLM, MBA, etc. ).

 

  • Khazanah Watan Scholarship

The Khazanah Watan Scholarship offers opportunities for talented and high-achieving Malaysians to pursue Undergraduate and Postgraduate studies at selected leading local universities. It aims to train Malaysia’s brightest talents to transform its GLCs into competitive business locally and internationally and to encourage individuals with excellent academic credentials to lead and participate in research initiatives.

Eligibility:

Malaysians who possess strong leadership skills and active participation in extra-curricular, social or voluntary activities, with consistent and outstanding academic achievement and meet the following requirements:

For Foundation Studies:

  • A minimum of 8 A’s (combination of A and A+) in SPM, A or A+ in Bahasa Melayu, English, History & Mathematics, or 8 A’s in IGCSE;
  • Not exceeding 18 years old on enrolment date for the foundation studies;
  • Gained admission or currently in the first semester of a Foundation programme at

Yayasan Khazanah’s approved universities in Malaysia

For Undergraduate Studies:

  • Gained admission or currently in the first year of a Bachelor’s Degree programme at approved Malaysian universities (Conditional offer can be considered);
  • A minimum of 3 As in STPM or GCE A-Levels or jayyid jidan’ for STAM or CGPA 3.50 / 4.00 in Pre-University/Diploma/Foundation/ Matriculation Programme or 35 points in International Baccalaureate (IB);
  • Not exceeding 21 years old on enrolment date for the Bachelor’s Degree programme.

For Master’s Degree;

  • Gained admission at leading Malaysian universities (Conditional offer can be considered);
  • A minimum of Second Class Upper Division (UK and Australia University) or CGPA of 3.50 in Bachelor’s Degree;
  • Not exceeding 40 years old on enrolment date for the Master’s degree.

For Ph.D:

  • Gained admission or currently in the first year of a Doctoral Degree programme at leading Malaysian universities (Conditional offer can be considered);
  • A Master Degree with a distinction or a minimum CGPA 3.50 / 4.00 or ‘A’ grade average and/or excellent examiners’ report if the Master Degree is by research;
  • A minimum of Second Class Upper Division (UK and Australia University) or CGPA of 3.50 for Bachelor’s Degree;
  • Not exceeding 40 years old on enrolment date for the Doctorate programme.

 

  • Khazanah-Oxford Centre for Islamic Studies Merdeka Scholarship

This Scholarship, established to mark 50th anniversary of Malaysia’s independence, is open to Malaysians to pursue postgraduate studies at the University of Oxford

Eligibility:

Malaysians who possess strong leadership skills and active participation in extra-curricular, social or voluntary activities, with consistent and outstanding academic achievement and meet the following requirements:

  • For Master’s degrees, a minimum CGPA of 3.50 or Second Class Upper at Bachelor’s Degree; for PhD, distinction or ‘A’ grade average or equivalent at Master’s level;
  • Gained admission or currently studying at University of Oxford (conditional offer can be considered);
  • Not exceeding 40 years old on the enrolment date for the Masters programme / Doctorate programme;
  • To provide research outline / thesis summary.

Value of Award:

Full scholarship including full tuition and fees, living expenses, accommodation as well as development and training support.

Condition:

Recipients are required to serve Khazanah Nasional or other approved organisations for a duration equal to the study period.
