Known as Stipendium Hungaricum Programme in Hungarian language, this is a programme based on bilateral educational cooperation agreements signed between Hungary and Ministries responsible for education in foreign countries/territories or between institutions to provide scholarships for higher education in Hungary. Currently 60 Partners are engaged in the programme throughout 5 different continents and the geographical scope of the programme is expanding each year.
In the 2017/2018 application year, more than 3,800 scholarships were awarded for study in Hungary under this programme. It is expected to increase to more than 5,000 in the academic year 2018/2019.
Courses & Participating Institutions：
Selected undergraduate & postgraduate courses in selected higher education institutions in Hungary. Besides full-time degree courses, up to one year full-time non-degree programmes (Preparatory & Specialisation courses) are also available,.
Applicants applying for Bachelor Degree courses are required to have secondary school graduation certificate; for Master Degree courses – a minimum Bachelor Degree; and for Doctorate Degree courses – a minimum Master Degree.
There is a choice of course of study in English or Hungarian language. For the former, applicants are required to submit certificate of proof of English proficiency. For the latter, applicants will attend a one year Hungary language preparatory course in Hungary.

Full scholarship covering tuition, accommodation, medical insurance and a monthly stipend covering part of living expenses.

Bachelor Programme: 2-4 years
Master’s Programme: 1.5-2 years.
One-tier Master Programme: 5-6 years
Doctoral Programme: 2+2 years
